ABCR 7 Wonders Virtual Marathon Part 1 (Taj Mahal - India Half Marathon)

Yesterday I had registered for ABCR - 7 Wonders Virtual Marathon. In this event we have different running categories like 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km. I had registered for a 21 km half marathon for all 7 wonders. This is a three months event and It starts from today 14/June and ends on 6/Sep. As due to Covid our travel and running plans have stopped so this event is good for all runners those who want to enjoy their run. Each run in this event is based on 7 wonders around the world. As Any Body Can Run in this event around the world so its named as ABCR - 7 Wonders Virtual Marathon.

Today Taj Mahal – India Run Date 14th June
This mausoleum complex in Agra, India, is regarded as one of the world’s most iconic monuments and is perhaps the finest example of Mughal architecture. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan (reigned 1628–58) to honor his wife Mumtaz Mahal (“Chosen One of the Palace”), who died in 1631 giving birth to their 14th child. It took almost 22 years and 20,000 workers to construct the complex, which includes an immense garden with a reflecting pool. 

This morning I woke up around 4:30, then did my daily routine and went down around 5 am. After reaching down I did some warm up exercise for 10 minutes and then started my Half Marathon. I started slowly and completed my first 5 km in 41 minutes, then increased my running speed and completed my next 5 km in 34 minutes, then drank some water and again started my running and completed the next 5 km in another 35 minutes. Till now I had completed 15 km and I was enjoying my run. But after 15 km I was feeling a little tired as my today long run was after a 6 months of gap. I continued my running and was able to complete the last 6 km in 39 minutes and with this I was able to complete my today Half marathon in 2:29 hrs.
Today was my first Virtual Half Marathon (21 km run) and second Half Marathon of the year 2020 after a gap of 6 months.
