        There are several ways to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle and walking is one of them. Walking is good for us as it is an aerobic exercise that burns calories, improves blood circulation, and makes us feel energized. In the beginning, start walking for 30 minutes at a slow pace and then increase the time to 1 hr or 10,000 steps every day. Always we need to do warm-up and cool-down exercises before and after walking to prevent injuring your muscles and tissues. It is always suggestable that if you have any orthopedic or any other health issues, consult your doctor before setting your fitness goals.


Best Time For Walk -

Morning is the best time to walk. A 30 minutes’ walk in the morning can change your life! This is especially true if you are dealing with lifestyle-related diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, etc. A morning walk is easy on your joints and heart, and the fresh air in the morning calm your nerves, improve your mood, and keep you energetic and positive for the rest of the day. Just buy a pair of walking shoes and take a walk in the nearby park or inside the apartment.

  • When walking, our toes should point forward.
  • With each step, our heel should touch the ground first. In that way, our body weight will have to continue in a forward’s direction, following the movement.
  • Our arms should move naturally and continuously.
  • Our shoulders should be pulled slightly backwards and our chin should be held high. Try not to look at the ground.


Today morning I did 7 km running which took 41:52 minutes, which burns 480 calories. Then I did 31 minutes of easy walk which covered 2.17 km and burned 195 calories.
