8 Benefits that Water can do to your Health and you didn't know

8 Benefits that Water can do to your Health and you didn't know

The human body is made up of 70% water, therefore, to stay healthy, the amount of water you should drink daily should be equivalent to 3% of your weight; that is, an approximate of two litres of water daily.

However, apart from the need you have to consume water -because a dehydration of 10% already puts us in a risky situation-, it provides you with various properties that will allow you to live much better. Here we will tell you what are the benefits of drinking water.

1. Contributes to weight loss

Whenever you are thinking of dieting, we have good news for you: drinking water helps reduce appetite. Because water will fill your stomach with fluid, that will reduce your urge to eat more.

Also, when you exercise, having ingested water will make the percentage of fat burned higher, since this good habit promotes the breakdown and elimination of fat cells from the body. On the other hand, it is a good substitute for high-calorie drinks, such as alcohol, soft drinks or soft drinks.

2. You will have smoother and healthier skin

If you are looking to keep your skin soft, smooth and radiant, drink water. This keeps your body hydrated and improves blood flow; which will make your skin tissues renew, have more elasticity and your skin will look fresh and soft.

Consuming eight glasses a day and proper hydration of the skin on your skin will help treat scars, acne and certain symptoms of aging.

3. Helps you regulate body temperature

When you exercise, water will always be your ally to release body heat. Also, drinking water will provide benefits in maintaining your body temperature during the day.

This way you will feel more energized and keep your muscles and joints ready to do exercises that demand speed, preventing you from suffering cramps and sprains.

4. It helps in the digestion process

For proper digestion, you need to drink water daily; especially two glasses between meals. The consumption of fiber accompanied by a correct hydration, for people suffering from constipation, will help them to alleviate this disease, since one of its causes is dehydration.

5. Relieves headache

According to a study published in the European Journal of Neurology, drinking water helps reduce the time and intensity of a headache. So, whether you suffer from migraine, a natural recipe to calm this evil is to drink water, since headaches and migraines are generally caused by dehydration.

6. Cleanses you of toxins

One of the properties of water is that it is the best detoxifier in the body. It promotes kidney function and reduces the chances of developing stones because it dilutes the mineral salts in the urine.

Even so, it is not recommended to exceed the water consumption. As mentioned previously, 2 litres of water daily, depending on your weight, is more than enough to keep the body detoxified. Otherwise, it could affect the kidneys in their function of filtering waste.

7. It fills you with energy!

Tiredness or fatigue is one of the main signs that you are dehydrated. Lack of water makes your heart work harder to pump the oxygenated blood through the body; which causes it to expend more energy than normal. Therefore, consuming water will make your heart work better, reduce efforts and feel more energy.

8. Prevents cancer

The detoxifying and digestive property of water in the body helps to prevent two types of cancer specifically: colon cancer, by 45% and bladder cancer by 50%.

In Conclusion, water is life. Not only because you need it to stay alive since it makes up a high percentage of your body; also, because ingesting water helps improve the quality of life of your days.
