It was the largest amphitheater ever built at the time and held 50,000 to 80,000 spectators, who watched a variety of events. Perhaps the most notable were gladiator fights, though men battling animals was also common. In addition, sometimes water was pumped into the Colosseum for mock naval engagements. However, the belief that Christians were martyred there—namely, by being thrown to lions—is debated. According to some estimates, about 500,000 people died in the Colosseum. Additionally, many animals were captured and then killed there that certain species reportedly became extinct.
The Colosseum is still an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and is listed as one of the New 7 Wonders of the world, although substantially ruined because of earthquakes and stone-robbers. It is one of the Rome's most popular tourist attraction and also has links to the Roman Catholic Church, as each Good Friday the Pope leads a torchlit 'ways of the Cross' procession that starts in Colosseum nearby area. In 2018, Colosseum, Rome was the most popular tourist attraction in the world, with 7.4 million visitors.
Today morning I woke up around 4:30. I was feeling a little lazy for my marathon today. But I had already registered for this, so I had no other option for me and I had to go for this marathon, then after 15 minutes I planned to go. I did my daily routine and dressed up with my running dress and went down around 5 am. After reaching down I did some warm up exercise for 10-15 minutes and then started my Half Marathon.
I started around 5:15 am, I run slowly for first 3 km and completed my first 5 km in 32 minutes, then slowly increased my running pace and completed my next 5 km in 31 minutes and continue my run till 13 km then drank some water, changed my t-shirt as it was totally wet and again started my running and completed 15 km of run in around 98 minutes. Today's weather was good so I was enjoying my run and not feeling tired after completing my 15 km. But after 15 km the sun also came and the climate was a little hot now, then after 18 km I was feeling a little tired and slowed down my pace. I continued my running and was able to complete the last 6 km in around 37 minutes and with this I was able to complete my today Half marathon in 2:15 hrs.

After finishing my half marathon, I did some cool down exercise and went back home. After reaching home I took a bath and had my breakfast, then took some rest.
Today was my 3rd Virtual Half Marathon (21 km run) and 4th Half Marathon of the year 2020. I was happy as I completed today's marathon within my planned timing.
